Virbac appoints Greg Andrews as new Global Marketing and Business Optimization director
Virbac announces the appointment of Greg Andrews as their new head of Global Marketing and Business Optimization. In this newly created role Greg Andrews will be responsible for developing and implementing the global marketing strategy of the company and creating new business opportunities. He will also coordinate important global cross-functional activities of the company to maximize growth.
The Global Marketing & Business Optimization group arose out of the merger between the European and international marketing teams at the beginning of 2014. This reorganization optimizes worldwide resources, know-how and experiences in an industry of increased competitiveness and growing regulatory compliance.
On November 2nd, 2015 Greg Andrews assumed leadership of this team. He reports directly to Sébastien Huron, head of Global Business Operations, who says:
“We are very pleased to welcome Greg to our team. We will rely on his experience to transform our marketing efforts worldwide. He will consolidate the brand image of our products and contribute to the international influence of the Virbac brand.”
Greg has over 25 years of business and senior leadership in the animal health industry. He has a Master of Business Management (US equivalent) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.
In Greg’s past role as VP of Emerging Markets with Zoetis, based out of the European headquarters in Brussels, he led a large regional, commercial team including a headquarter support group for marketing, technical and regulatory functions. He was also actively engaged in the animal health industry association, Health for Animals, as the chairman of the Communications team. Previous to this, Greg was a member of Pfizer Animal Health’s leadership team holding a global responsibility for the development and execution of Pfizer Animal Health's Public Affairs and policy strategy as the VP Public Affairs. Within Pfizer Animal Health he also held the positions of Country Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg, European group director of Livestock Marketing and US group director of Cattle Marketing. Before joining Pfizer Greg spent over a decade with Merial in various Sales and Marketing roles across all species in Australia and the US.
