On September 12, Euronext announced, as it does every quarter, an update of the companies in its indices. While the flagship index, the CAC 40, remains unchanged, the SBF 120 now includes Virbac, whose share price rose 47% between January and August. This amendment will take effect on Monday, September 23, 2019.

SBF 120 companies are selected on the basis of their market capitalization and the average of their capital traded over twelve months. The return to this benchmark represents an important step for Virbac, which could benefit from the positive effects of increased visibility, particularly among fund managers (whose policy is to seek performance similar to that of the major indices) and among foreign investors who, when entering a new market, focus on the benchmark values.
