Virbac has been distributing the medicines Activyl^® (an indoxacarb base) for dogs and cats and Activyl^® Tick Plus (an indoxacarb and permethrin base) for dogs only, in Europe since January 1, 2016.

Practitioners also have at their disposition:

• a complete spot-on range allowing molecular variation,
• medicines for the treatment and prevention of infestation by fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and sand flies,
• wormer medicines,
• prescription medicines and over-the-counter products,
• different galenic forms: collars, spot-on, sprays and products for the home.

According to a Bio’sat^[1] study in 2015, spot-on remains the preferred galenic form for 3 out of 4 owners (82% of cat owners and 65% of dog owners).

Offering this pharmaceutical form therefore meets the needs of owners.

A complete range

The integration of these two medicines in the parasiticide product portfolio fulfils Virbac’s wish to offer complementary solutions to veterinarians, thereby allowing them to adapt their prescriptions to the widest diversity of parasitic situations.
