DIOD: canine otitis in 1 click
Launched a few months ago in around ten European countries, DIOD (Digital Interactive Otitis Drawings) is our new interactive digital tool. It allows for the modeling of all types of otitis, supporting explanations provided to pet owners and optimizing patient management. Developed by our teams, it further enriches our DailyDerma program, which assists with daily veterinary dermatology practice.
External otitis is one of the primary reasons for veterinary consultations in dogs. Often very uncomfortable and sometimes painful for the animal, it is also frequently recurrent. Successful treatment relies on three pillars: the correct diagnosis, the right treatment, and the owner's involvement. DIOD was designed to support this crucial engagement.
It offers a unique functionality for dynamic and versatile otitis modeling: in just a few clicks, it's possible to select various clinical and microscopic criteria to create a representation of the otitis observed during the consultation, surpassing traditional plaster models. DIOD allows veterinarians to visualize their observations and save the ear's condition at each visit. This approach fosters owner involvement in the treatment and monitoring of the otitis's evolution alongside the veterinarian.
Building on the success of our antibiotic-free treatment for canine external otitis, introduced in 2023, DIOD marks a new step forward in improving the diagnosis and management of this common canine condition. DIOD is already available in about ten countries, via our veterinary websites or directly through a dedicated URL, and will be progressively rolled out across all our subsidiaries.
This innovative tool is a continuation of our DailyDerma program, which provides veterinarians with a wide range of products, tools, and services to assist with diagnosis, prescription, and long-term follow-up of treatments related to veterinary dermatology practice. This new advancement demonstrates our commitment to innovative and responsible solutions aimed at optimizing and simplifying the therapeutic process. Our next step? The release of our mobile application for pet owners, designed to help them better monitor the health of their allergic dogs.
