Teamwork: developing intercultural intelligence
With 35 subsidiaries and 5,400 employees worldwide, mastering the codes of intercultural communication is a key challenge for our Group. To meet this need, our Human Resources team launched a pilot project in France from June to August 2024.
In an international group like ours, collaboration knows no borders. However, working with colleagues from different cultures, while often enriching, can also present challenges. Differences in communication codes, perceptions of time, management styles... All these factors can complicate interactions and impact collective performance.
Gapsmoov: a successful pilot project!
To address these challenges, our Human Resources team launched a pilot project from June 17 to August 31, 2024. Fifteen employees in France, from different departments, were able to test Gapsmoov, an innovative digital learning platform dedicated to intercultural management and communication. Feedback from participants has been very positive. They particularly appreciated the personalization of the learning experience, with the possibility of discovering their cultural profile and benefiting from content adapted to their needs.
Testimonial from a participant working in research and development: "The platform is interesting because it is useful on a daily basis for international relations. Thank you for integrating me into this pilot group. It's great! And I hope to be able to continue to enjoy the platform."
Building on this success, we have signed a contract to deploy 500 Gapsmoov licenses at Group level in the second quarter of 2025.
Fun and interactive learning
This platform allows our employees to better understand the cultural differences within our Group and to improve their communication with their colleagues from other subsidiaries.
Here's what makes this tool so powerful:
Investing in intercultural intelligence: a strategic choice
Investing in intercultural intelligence is fully in line with our strategy of developing collaborative skills. Indeed, during a reflection carried out with our French management committee, the improvement of intercultural communication was identified as a major challenge for the years to come. This is why, in parallel with the deployment of the platform, physical workshops dedicated to certain teams are also planned to meet specific needs.
By investing in the development of our teams' intercultural skills, we are strengthening our ability to collaborate effectively and consolidate our global presence.
