Jean-Pierre Dick steps down from the executive board of the Virbac group
Virbac has accepted Jean-Pierre Dick’s resignation from the executive board, effective November 14, 2019.
Jean-Pierre Dick has informed Virbac of his decision to chart a different career course in order to focus exclusively on maritime projects and senior management consulting. These new projects, launched after the end of the last Vendée Globe and at the conclusion of Virbac’s sponsorship contract, are now entering a phase that requires all of Jean-Pierre Dick’s energy and time, making it impossible for him to continue to devote himself to his work for the company. Therefore, Virbac has accepted Jean-Pierre Dick’s resignation from the executive board, effective November 14, 2019.
“I had to make a choice, I couldn’t do it all. My decision was to devote myself 100% to my sailing projects, which now require greater involvement. Virbac is a part of me, I have been very connected to it since my childhood, through my relationship with my father, its founder. I thank all of the employees and veterinarians who have followed and supported me over all these years, in France, of course, but also in all of the countries that we had the good fortune to visit. I will remain a committed shareholder, along with my family, and will continue to closely follow the growth of the Virbac group worldwide.” said Jean-Pierre Dick.
“By flying the Virbac colors on all the oceans of the world for many years, Jean-Pierre was an example to us all. Passionate, committed, he never gave up, even at the most difficult times, and for this reason, he remains a strong symbol of resilience for all Virbac teams. Through high-level competition, he also embodied our constant pursuit of excellence and our ability to look to the future. We give him our wholehearted best wishes in his new endeavors.” added Sébastien Huron, chairman of the executive board of the Virbac group.
