After a twenty-year presence in Turkey through a local distributor, Virbac is creating its 33rd subsidiary there. The objective: closer proximity in order to better respond to the expectations of animal health players.
With a population of more than 80 million, 50% of whom are under the age of 301, Turkey is a country with strong economic growth in which the animal health needs are developing. In particular, in food producing animals, where productivity must be improved, and for companion animals, with a steady increase in the rate of medicalization. The country has no fewer than 6,000 veterinary clinics, one-third of which specialize in companion animals2.
Present in this territory for nearly 20 years through a local distributor, Virbac formalizes in 2018 the creation of a subsidiary in this country, Virbac Türkiye. Objective: to make available to veterinarians the first products under its name, in particular the VETERINARY HPM® range of petfood, whose launch brought 500 local veterinarians together for three conferences held in May 2018 in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.
By creating a local entity, Virbac will be able to connect with veterinarians, thanks to optimal coverage of the territory to better respond to their expectations with a wide range of solutions and services.
