Best Workplaces: our Mexican subsidiary recognized

vignette Virbac Mexico.jpgIn 2024, among our fourteen Great Place to Work® certified subsidiaries, Virbac Mexico joined the Best Workplaces® ranking, following in the footsteps of our UK and Colombia branches. This distinction reflects our commitment to creating inclusive, fulfilling, and trust-based work environments.

Every year, the Best Workplaces® ranking—managed by the Great Place to Work® Institute—recognizes employers who place human fulfillment and team cohesion at the heart of their strategy. To be included, candidates must complete three key steps:

  • hold the official Great Place to Work® certification;
  • demonstrate a level of employee engagement and satisfaction that is higher than the average of participants;
  • complete the Culture Brief™, a document detailing the organization's internal operations, demographics, and HR policies (salaries, benefits).

In 2024, our subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and Colombia also featured in the Best Workplaces ranking.

Well-being as a driver of success

For Jorge Fernandez Chavez, Human Resources director at Virbac Mexico, this distinction rewards an HR model within his regional territory where every effort is valued. According to him, "the subsidiary's success is based on a precise balance between exemplary leadership, competitive compensation, and a total investment in our teams."

To reach this level of employee engagement, Virbac Mexico has deployed programs focused on recognition and professional growth:

  • talent development: a focus on continuous training to prepare the next generation and encourage internal promotion;
  • culture of recognition: various initiatives have been launched to strengthen bonds between colleagues and ensure transparent communication at all levels;
  • getting to know each other: specific campaigns designed to break down silos and value the human being behind the job title.

A committed community player

Our subsidiary also prides itself on its role as a "responsible neighbor", forming part of a local ecosystem that it enriches through concrete social actions. Each year, teams collect donations and visit shelters, animal refuges, or indigenous communities to raise awareness about the importance of social responsibility.

"All the good deeds we perform for our employees and our community have a positive impact on our culture, our figures, and our reputation. It is one of the best investments a leader can make," summarizes Jorge Fernandez Chavez.
